Editorial policy
How products are chosen and described.
We choose around the drummer’s seat: posture, hardware, practice, sound, upkeep, and room fit.
What gets included
A product needs a clear job within drum kits, practice volume, and hardware and a useful reason to compare it with the alternatives. Pocket & Shell is not an exhaustive list of everything for sale.
Sources and firsthand experience
Pocket separates setup advice from facts that still need confirmation on manufacturer and retailer pages. Firsthand use is identified only when it is documented.
Commercial links
Some Pocket & Shell Amazon links are affiliate links, so a qualifying purchase may earn a commission without changing the reader’s price. Pocket still has to supply the editorial reason for including the product; the retailer listing is not proof of quality.
Corrections and updates
Pocket pages show the current published version date: 2026-10-29. Its contact page records what will be needed to verify a broken link, model mismatch, or factual error once a public route is available.
